A single uncontrolled sliproad crossing with 'Cyclists Dismount' signs (see #51057) has been replaced with two uncontrolled sliproad crossings, without signs. No attempt to line up the footway with the crossings.

Another set of pedestrian crossings to revert to the west side of the A8 Eurocentral junction, since there is no footway around the western side of the roundabout anymore.

As with #100118, the crossing of the A8 is a pedestrian crossing.

Despite the toucan crossing at #100117, all of the other crossings at the A8 Eurocentral junction are pedestrian crossings. It's almost as if they have forgotten that this is/was a shared use route.

A split toucan crossing on Townhead Avenue, Eurocentral, with an HGV combo stopped some way forward of the stopline on the far side.

A split toucan crossing across Townhead Avenue at Eurocentral. I don't know which direction the 'Cyclists Dismount' sign applies to. The kid on the bike took no notice of it.

The cyclepath doesn't run directly to the toucan crossing, necessitating sharp turns, when the desireline is across open land.

The M8 cyclepath crossing the A8 sliproad and A752 at grade. No tactiles at this side.

The M8 cyclepath crossing the A752-A8 sliproad at grade. Why are some 'Give Way' and other signs lit but not other similar signs at this junction?

The M8 cyclepath crossing NCN75 and the A752 at grade. Signage this way for NCN75 but not straight ahead to Glasgow.

The M8 cyclepath crosses the busy A752 road and A8 sliproad at grade. Why only a flyover for motorists? And no directions facing this way for NCN75 other than a Sustrans sticker.

Cumbernauld Cycle Network route 4 crosses the B8048 here, then crosses the side road to get to the path to Craiglinn Interchange.

According to my map from the council, the Cumbernauld Cycle Network route 4 turns left here then first right, rather than using the (rather ugly) caged crossing and the direct path to Craiglinn. But no signs.

A route sign pointing in an ambiguous direction, and no clue as to how one should rejoin the carriageway. All of the crossings are for pedestrians only. The shared-use footway does continue around the corner to the left into Kirkshaws Road.

Road crossing at Paddock Street on the alignment of the Monkland Canal.

A 'Cyclists Dismount' sign at a pedestrian crossing? Why hasn't a toucan crossing been installed here?

The end of the Ravenscraig cycleway and the provision at the A723/B7066 roundabout. Cyclists to merge onto the road, with sliplanes provided both sides. Hopefully this will be rectified when the road is dualled. A new footway/cycleway is pr ... [more]

The Ravenscraig cycleway joins the cycling provision at the A723/B7066 roundabout. There is no provision beyond the roundabout in any direction, so probably best to avoid the A723 northwards.

The Ravenscraig cycleway at the northern crossing of Plantation Road, including provision for those going straight ahead and joining the carriageway.

The Ravenscraig cycleway crossing Plantation Road, with provision for anyone joining from the carriageway of Plantation Road. Note that cycleway markings haven't been reinstated after roadworks.

A toucan crossing outside Airbles station. It does not appear to connect to any actual cycle infrastructure.

An 'End of Route' sign when the route clearly continues along New Craig Road. The route from here northwards uses the correct flat-topped tactiles and not the corduroy ones used across the junction southwards.

The Ravenscraig cycleway outside the sports centre. The entrance is at the far end of the path, then double back to get to the cycle parking.

The cycleway through Ravenscraig crosses the access road to the sports centre. Corduroy 'hazard' tactiles are used on this section, rather than the correct flat-topped 'cycleway' type, and placed so close to the crossing that people on bike ... [more]

End of the line-segregated cycleway through Ravenscraig. Why doesn't it continue through to Craigneuk St?

Crossing of Robberhall Road, which is signed for Edinburgh, so rather more than just a local road. This side is signed here as shared-use, the opposite side is the start of the line-segregated path through the Ravenscraig site to Carfin.

The start of the path from Holytown to Eurocentral, at the sports centre car park. I don't know what the bollard is supposed to achieve.

Crossing Main Street. I didn't bother trying to use the footway of the road to the sports centre on the far side of the road.

The Holytown shared footway crossing Windsor Road.

The NCN75 crosses the Showcase Cinema access road on this zebra crossing without the usual Belisha Beacons or zig-zags.

Uncontrolled crossing of A8 sliproad at the Showcase Cinema roundabout.

According to the map from the council, the path across the road forms Route 1d of the Cumbernauld Cycle Network. No signs whatsoever!

More barriers across path at minor road crossing. All the rage in Kildrum!

More barriers across path at minor road crossing.

More barriers across path at minor road crossing.

This path isn't part of Cumbernauld's cycle network, but it is plagued with barriers at every minor road crossing. The raised crossing might have been better installed in line with the path and made into a zebra crossing.

No dropped kerbs on road crossing (marked with road studs) at exit from West Park.

Lots of barriers to squeeze past, including blocking part of each of the dropped kerbs.

Barriers block the start of the path on the far side of Airdrie Road from Myvot Avenue, despite this being signed as part of the 1f cycle route.

The footway goes around the edge of the car park, but it is easier to cut across the empty space to get to the Linkbridge lobby. Just watch the sloping kerbs.

Route sign for routes 1 and 3. Route crosses road at the crossing on the left, then goes around the end of the car park to the right before going back across to the left to join the path down the hill behind the lamppost next to the crossin ... [more]

Barriers across the path. The steps up ahead have a ramp around them, but the route via the Carbrain Gully to the right is a more attractive route for cycling, and they both lead to the town centre.

Cumbernauld's cycle route 1 crosses the road here, but the dropped kerbs are not opposite each other.

Route 2 goes down ramp from Asda car park and across the goods entrance. There are chicane barriers across the next section of path, visible on the far side of the crossing.

Route 2 continues past the town centre.

Route 1b crosses Balloch Road at the bus stop, where there is a central island.

A 'Cyclists Dismount' sign for a (non-Toucan) pedestrian crossing on Cumbernauld's cycle route 2, and then the route continues along a narrow footway around the perimeter of the Tesco car park.

Another route sign for Cumbernauld's cycle route 2, plus some barriers where the path crosses the access road to a small car park.

The path parallel to North Road is part of Cumbernauld cycle route 4. No priority at side road crossing.

Another kissing gate, at road crossing

Road crossing at Eurocentral A8 eastbound off-slip, with both Cyclists Dismount signs facing the same way.

Cyclists Dismount signs at road crossing, at Eurocentral A8 westbound on-slip

Kissing gate on North Calder Heritage Trail. There's steps on this path nearby too so maybe of little use to cyclists anyway.

Path barriers near road crossing

The dropped kerbs have been positioned away from the path entrances, and require users to cross the road diagonally, making some awkward turns on the narrow footways.

Access barriers on approach to road crossing.

Uncontrolled road crossing on path between Airdrie and Calderbank, with non-standard warning sign. This is a National Speed Limit zone.

Sign patches on the ground show the way on NCN 75 in Coatbridge, along narrow footway under railway bridge and across dead puffin crossing (see also #43848).
